[NEW] ODD SEEDS CD-version!
Ever since Odd Seeds was released on double LP and cassette people have been asking for a CD version. The timing for a belated CD release never felt quite right, until we were planning a Japan tour earlier this year. Japan loves CD’s, so in honor of this Japan tour, we decided to make a (Japanese) CD version of Odd Seeds, in collaboration with our friends at Tokyo’s sign-pole records!
So here it is: a limited edition CD-version of Odd Seeds. A gatefold-style jacket, with CD insert. Beautifully printed on quality paper, featuring a special OBI-strip.

Hi all! I’ve just opened up a little online art shop! It has a variety of original drawings and photo prints.
I don’t know what the situation is where you are at, but here we’re still in lockdown and the lockdown has been extended by at least a few more weeks.
We’ve all been, and still are, bound to our homes more than ever before. It will probably take some time before that will change — so, this might be a great time to spruce up your home with something nice to look at?
I’ve been passing time by drawing stuff the past few weeks and have set up a shop with some of these crude, minimalist drawings alongside a small selection of photos I made.

After a couple weeks of being indoors during the Corona quarantine/lockdown of March 2020, I wanted to show a sign of life to the outside world. I couldn’t really do a live stream concert, because the internet connection wasn’t reliable enough, so I made a video of me playing one of my songs “live” instead. The response was lovely and inspired me to try it again the next day. Different song, same concept. I felt like continuing the next day and the next, until I ended up doing 50 videos in (a little over) 50 days.
It gave me a very defined purpose to fulfil each day, which was a nice thing to have in that strange purposeless time. I got to revisit many old songs that I hadn’t played in a long time, some songs even made a live debut during the video series. Some songs I played in a similar way as they appear on their respective album recordings, but for most songs I tried to switch things up a bit. I reinterpreted these songs using a different instrument, switching guitar for keys or the other way around for instance. I played a bit with melodies or structures here and there and made a lot of songs into new versions of themselves. This was a fun exercise which helped me to keep it interesting for those 50 days.
Along the way the idea arose to have (part of) the series released as an album, so people would be able to listen to these new versions, but also to commemorate that weird period in time and to actually come out of it with a reward: a new double album!
The 50 songs totalled over 2 hours worth of playtime. 26 songs were chosen to cut this down to a manageable length. The sound was polished up a bit and the chronological order of the songs was abandoned and a new tracklist sequence was created to perfect the listening experience, which resulted in this two part album, called ODD SEEDS!

Just one week before the shows were supposed to happen it has been made clear that they can’t happen because of a surge in COVID infections in NL and CH. Measures have been tightened and travel restrictions have been set, making it impossible for us to play the shows :(
We were looking forward to it very much and hope to be able to rebook (some of) the shows at a later stage next year.
We’ve added some Switzerland dates for October this year! Who’d have thought!
These shows were being planned as Covid was just starting to spread around Europe. All venues around Europe (and around the world) were being closed down, resulting in shows/tours being cancelled and put on indefinite hold. These shows also. We actually thought we probably wouldn’t be playing any more shows this year, given the whole situation…
Things are starting to look a bit better though. In this case it seems that the Swiss government is confident in opening its venues again and these show can (most likely) still happen!
We’re excited to be able to play some shows again! Hope to see some of you there!

As you may know, Corona has prevented live shows from happening and there will be no live shows for months to come. This affects everyone involved, but especially the live musicians. No live shows means no live income, means no payouts to the live band for their live performances…
This is an issue the lovely people over at K&F (our German booking agency) were thinking about too and they have generously set up a special compilation album with previously unreleased songs by their booking and label roster. The proceeds of which will not go to the main artists, but to their respective live musicians and crew members instead!
You can get a song for the price of a cup of coffee (or even a half cup, if you drink fancy coffees). It’s €2,50 (or more) for the song or €25 for the whole album. All the proceeds from the IAO song will be passed on to my dear friends and bandmates Robby (guitar), Tammo (drums) and Nick (bass) as a little token of appreciation for their hard work and commitment over the past years—and years to come!
I know funds are tight(er) right now for a lot of people, but I hope you can spare a little something. I’m sure they’ll really appreciate the surprise! Thanks in advance! ENJOY!

P.S. The song is “Cluster (reprise)”, it was recorded at Katzwijm Studio during the Osmosis recording sessions last year, as an extra bonus track to maybe use later on. I figured this was a perfect one to use for this purpose, because Robby, Tammo and Nick all feature on it. Robby and Nick sing backing vocals and Tammo recorded, mixed and mastered the track!
